Our Story
Rooted in Horticulture
Oakheart Gardening Services was founded by a keen horticulturist whose passion for plants and outdoor spaces has shaped every aspect of the business. What began as a deep personal commitment to the craft has recently grown into a fully registered business — bringing professional-grade expertise to gardens and grounds across Cardiff and South Wales.
From passion to practice
The founder's background in horticulture runs deep — years spent learning the rhythms of soil, season, and plant life before ever taking on a client. That grounding means Oakheart approaches every project with genuine knowledge, not just a pair of gloves and a mower.
Oakheart is a new business, but the expertise behind it is not. The decision to formalise years of horticultural practice into a registered company was driven by a simple belief: that gardens and grounds deserve proper, thoughtful care — and that clients deserve a service they can rely on season after season.
Every garden we tend is treated as a long-term relationship. We take time to understand how a space is used, what the client values, and how it can be improved and maintained sustainably over time.

Our values
Craftsmanship
We take pride in doing things properly. From the way a hedge is finished to the care taken around established planting, attention to detail is built into everything we do.
Long-term relationships
We work best with clients who want a consistent, trusted presence in their garden — someone who knows the space, remembers what was planted where, and shows up reliably.
Sustainable practice
We favour approaches that work with nature rather than against it — choosing plants suited to their environment, minimising chemical use, and thinking about the long-term health of the soil and ecosystem.
